Mine is going in tomorrow. Excited and anxious at the same time. It passed its MOT a month ago but there is some corrosion in the floor area which will also be sorted. It's probably going to cost the length of a piece of string.

I collect the car tomorrow and I have in fact paid a bit more than the estimate, especially if you factor in the cost of parts which I supplied separately. However I am reliably informed by the wife that it looks stunning so I think it's worth it. Some additional areas in the floor have also been sorted as well as the rear valance. The guy who did it came recommended and from our conversations over the last three months is a bit of a perfectionist. Looking forward to seeing his work and I will post pictures as soon as I get the chance.

I have invested in a lovely red, lycra, breathable indoor car cover to protect the paintwork from scrapes and knocks in the garage!

I am really pleased with the level of finish. It's amazing how bright the paint looks. The underside and wheel arches have been under sealed and the paintwork looks better than when new. It's safely tucked up in the garage now!
When I was taking the pictures a random passerby even commented on it!

Hello.. I really need some advice.. I have a 1997 Cooper which is rusting in the usual places.. A frame, headlights, bottom of doors.. I have been quoted £11k to replace wings, doors and a full respect and £3k from another classic car restoration garage to cut out the rosy, treat it and rest pray for each side..
what do you think? It’s going to take ages to save £3k let alone 11!
I’ve had my mini 11years, I use every day except keep
It in a garage nov-March..
Please advise ??

cost me £1500, to have the front wings, front, both a panels and a door skin replaced and painted, and new front and rear screen fitted, all panels and both screens I supplied, but shopped round for as the front end kit can vary in price depending on where it comes from. All in using heritage panels it came to just over £2k, and was done earlier this year

One thing i will say with Heritage panels is DO NOT rely on the E coat they use. Its a bugger for hiding spider tracks of rust so i would always recommend fully sanding back to bare metal then use a decent Epoxy primer / etch primer. Nothing worse than paying a ton of cash on new panels and a paint job for it to only be marred by rust starting through.
