ive seen ians wiring diagram and hope to follow it. i'd like to keep injection but dont want to cut bulkhead. looking into fabricating/ modifing a new inlet manifold that fits better. the wiring does scare me a bit! much prefer working with nuts and bolts

Looking good mate. Loooove the colour!
Just a thought, will that plate between the the floor mounts get in the way of the gear linkage? Hope not, looks to be a good way to strengthening.

i hope not but i'll not know for definite till i trial fit subframe in car. if it does i'll cut as little as possible away to keep as much strength as i can. plan is to get engine fitted where i want it , trial fit subframe in car them seam weld as much as possible and add ribs/webs etc before final fit. i fancy trying to keep the alternator at the front if possible even if it means cutting inner wings a bit

all the 2 inch angle is temporary. it makes it a bit easy to work on and kept the dimensions right till the sides are finished

Defo check it fits, i think you ve cut a bit much away for the diff, it will hit the steerin rack. looks good though paint is cool, Came out of my igloo in ireland the other day, so hopin to get stuck in again, i was in england for the weekend and bought a 1300 engine from a man who rallies a micras, so lookin forward to gettin it running

the subby fits if i trim the base of inner wings a bit. as for hitting the rack i thought the position of the driveshaft hole determined how far back the motor sits. to be honest it looks tight everywhere! they must be a real snug fit when they are in.

Not really, think you'll find that hits bulkhead or the rack or both, best to try

so the diff clears the rack/bulkhead, might have to run it on the angle slightly. may have to pul it forward 3/4" or so
