if you pick up the A57 (Brayford Way) in Lincoln and cross over the flyover you get to the roundabout (where McDonalds is) and go all the way round (back on yourself) onto the flyover again. At the traffic lights you need to turn left onto Campus Way, then right at the mini roundabout (still campus way). You'll travel through student land until you come to the University entrance, where one of our happy stewards will be waiting to greet you and direct you to the site. If you put the postcode into Google maps, it gives you a good indication where you will be.

Sorted, thank you. :P Got my pass off our club but no instructions...

Will get some pictures up in a bit.
It was alright, I didn't stay for very long as I expected there to be some traders like last year. The weather was decent and Lincoln is a nice place to head into and grab some food.
So was a fun day and the estate held up even when doing 90 no more than 70 all the way there.

It was well attended I thought, but lacking in atmosphere a bit I reckon. Had a look at lots of mini's and got some inspiration for things to do on mine, but had seen everything in about 90 minutes! Nice to get out on the first longish run in the mini though, about 100 miles and never missed a beat.

Was nice to see some Minis in the sun. I sat in the Wetherspoons most of the time drinking but ho hum!

We expected there to be more traders too! They were booked and confirmed to attend, but didn't bother on the day which was a shame.

Having spoken to the guys at BIG, next year is planned to be a much bigger event, with several traders and possibly autojumblers as well. We hope to extend the south side to include food traders as well as Mini traders, using the area right up to the University. Watch this space!

We think that Lincoln BIG is still a bit of an unknown quantity as far as traders are concerned and saying that they'll attend and actually doing it are 2 very different things. We also organise Normanby Hall Mini Day in June and it's taken 5 years to really get that show on the map, so we'll do the same for Lincoln ^_^

The waterfront event has gone from strength to strength and with over 240 Minis turning up today (and a good number having to park in the multi storey because they hadn't booked in) we feel that traders will now see that it's worth the effort and will turn up next year.

As Gareth said if we manage to close off the link road to the south side we'd be able to use that extra space for even more Minis and traders and expand the event for 2012 :)

Thanks to everybody who attended and Happy Mini-ing for 2011

Rach :)

He was saying he used to go through belts like they were elastic bands, this one has lasted a lot longer apparently but was looking... well used.
