Hollywood Themed Party Help!

My sister is organising the works new year party for saturday night, and i've been delegated to prop design and construction. (curse my creative ways!!)
I need to sort out some barriers to go down either side of the red carpet at the entrance.
Now, working for M&S, my sister can get the poles sorted no problem, the standard crowd control Tensator poles will suffice, but i dont think the seatbelt style ribbon will work.
Where can i get a few meters of thick red rope to complete the look? Dont need fancy clips on the ends, thats why gaffa tape was invented.
Its too late to order anything unless its nextday delivery, and i can spray some suitably sized rope red if needs be, i just dont know where to get anything.
Sort of 40 - 50mm in diameter? and decent enough looking?
Help me awesome members of TMF.
I will include pictures when setup if you like.
(Ive made a fancy 'paparazzi' silhouette with strobe lighting for added entrance effect!!!)
Thanks in advance.

Also check Wickes, B&Q & Homebase.

Haha!! I will try Robert Dyas, and Wickes. Nothing that thick in B&Q and Homebase.
Incidentally look at the picture used in one of the places selling the pukka stuff: Clicky!

I always had a chuckle while entering the haberdashery department of john lewis!
My bullet arches are original. The car is a German import ltd edition "silverbullet", the arches where either fitted at the factory or by some random German wholesaler or dealer. They were found on alot of the German import editions.
They like the word haberdashery are definitely underused.

Dying involves boiling the fabric on the cooker with the dye or adding it to the washing machine!

Thanks for the links guys, trouble is, at 20 quid a piece the non-existent budget cant deal with buying 4/6. and hiring is the same problem, plus i need it for saturday!

That thick is likely to be boats unless you wind a few of the cheap thinner ropes together to make a thicker one.
