I just fitted cooper s brakes under mij 1984 mini .
I just drove it and it seems that his grip in the corners is not as good as when me drum brakes were fitted.
it also lookt that the right site of the car is 1cm higher than the left side but only at the front .
anyone got an idea what this could be?
kind regards

As for the height difference, i'd investigate the rubber suspension doughnuts. One of mine has sagged more than the other so i have corrected with my hi-lo's until funds allow a replacement part.

Did you also change your wheels to 10" and if so, what tyres did you change to?
The main reason for changing to Cooper 'S' 7.5" discs is to enable 10" wheels to go on.
1 cm height difference is not a lot really and probably not worth worrying about.

If not you need to need to fit the longer wheel studs and rear drums with the built in 1” spacer, as fitted to all minis from late 84-85ish onwards.

thanks for the responses
my mini still has his 10" original wheels.
I was also thinking of the wheel allignement. Is it possible that i have to change the toe setting of te front wheel ?
I now have the cooper s steering arms . Is there any difference with the original ones?
kind regards

But as the front has now been spaced out more because of the disks, has the same been done to the rear?

Then you NEED to increase the track at the rear as well, and then get the tracking checked.
By fitting disks to a previously drum braked mini the front track is now somewere over an inch each side wider than the rear.
