i was pulling out of a side road turning right, i was on the opposite side of the road to which i had to be on, the lights went red, a car stopped to let me out, i looked both ways, all seemed clear, pulled out most of the way, then BANG a bike that had been filtering down the side of traffic in the middle of the road, hidden from my view by lorries, cars and vans slammed into the side of my van at the rear........ I had seen him at literally the last minute so had floored it to get out of his way, so he ended up only just hitting the back corner of my van with his hand/handlebars... but had i not seem him at all, he would have slammed straight into the side of my van....... Now there was no way in hell that was my fault.... He said he was ok, only hurt his hand, damaged his bike a little but didnt wana do insurance details because he admitted it being his fault, my van was an old one any way so wasnt bothered by the little dent.... all parties were well n agreed on not going any further, but im sure he'll think twice before filtering again...
But moral of the story is, if he had used some common sense and/or stayed in the traffic he would have been fine and it never would have happened.....
I like bikes, but the drivers some times are just stupid......
