Well thought i would start a thread on my 1990 rover mini cooper 1.3

Bought it a few weeks ago as spares or repairs due to a couple of holes in the floorpan and the sills need replacing, motor runs fine, idling needs adjusting but thats about it, doesn't need much restoration so this will be mostly modifications.

Looks nice, personally i would have made it solid first rather than spend money on mods. Will keep an eye on this one ;)

Sadly i dont quite have the skills myself to do the welding myself so it is booked in to my local mini specialist's in two weeks time so i thought why not order the bits i want before the money burns a hole in my pocket ;)

Well here is a few more picture as promised.

Took two of the spotters out, and may i say one of them was a very intense removal. The bracket holding the light on was held in by a screw too long and didnt have enough clearance to get out of the hole.

so one snapped number plate later and the front looks much cleaner in my opinion

You don't seem to have any wiring going to the brake servo reservoir. I would investigate that asap and generally check over the engine/electrics. Ooh and what carb is underneath that massive filter??? >_<

Well now everyone see's how much of a mini newbie i am, not a clue what carb is on, i would guess standard but i will look into it tomorrow, i think the idling needs tweaking anyways so will have a butchers in the morning, and what is the brake servo reservoir wiring? is it not the black wire running along the floorpan?
