Don't worry about being a newbie you will learn with time no doubt. The car is a 1990 mini cooper with a carb. It should be a hif44 carb as standard but it looks like it has been changed to something else..not sure what though...sorry.

And regarding the brake servo it has 2 wires coming out each side of the reservoir, which is wired into the loom. Highlighted below is the brake servo reservoir and where the wires should be.

Damn that is a clean engine! i will look into it tomorrow and get some pictures up of the carb if i cant work it out

Well in regards to the two wires coming from the brake reservoir, they are not in sight, where would they usually lead to? and the carb has markings of EW on the sides, made in italy. i have no idea where this puts it but obv not standard

Got a decent pic of the new wheel, feels great, cant wait for the boss to get here so i can fit it.

Just a small update, My steering wheel fitting kit/boss finally came yesterday so got it fitted

Also fitted one of my buckets to see how they look, this one is a bit tatty from burns but the other is spot on and for £50 with subbys, i cant complain.

looks good, like that steering wheel,

get a lowering bracket on that column though, makes all the difference

i am going to have to, it is just too high with the deep dish wheel. i think i also need to adapt my gear knob to the buckets as it is a bit too far forward

Finally got round to fitting my new wheels after hunting high and low for the safety nut remover to find it in the door pocket! :)

Also here is a photo of the mesh grill i made but i have a new sheet of mesh to make a new one as i did a bad job of the first one!

Just a small update, new classic buckets (other is in the garage) came the other day along with the matching rear seat, I do like the cobra's i have but i really need the access to the rear seats :D

I prefer them to the others nice bit of work you've done.
