On the contrary I think it looks very tidy! It's obviously not meant to be a classic looking original so why not break away from the same old "modified mini" we've all seen a million times!

If Alec Issigonis wanted mini's to have 16" wheels he would of designed them with 16" wheels, personally i think minis look right with 10"s, but hey; everyones different-personal taste is a wonderful thing.

13'' are to small for the arches

I have had minis on 10, 12 and 13s and after comparing them all I am in agreement that smaller is better. 10s all the way. The pick up will be 'rollin on 10s this summer

I love 10's and have spent loads so I can put them on my current project- I agree with you 100% in terms of how it handles and how it was designed, but were talking about serious modifications that are not being done for handling reasons.

You could say that Mr Toyota didn't design the Supra so that people could tune them to 1200bhp but they do, and Henry Ford didn't design his early Fords to be hot rod'd and have Jag IRS and 400bhp V8's fitted 70 years later, but they do.

I personally love to see original examples of fine classic cars, but I also enjoy seeing what people have done to them to be different. You can't be bitter- everyone modifies their car in some way whether it be fit a new radio, better brakes, seats, wheels etc and have done for yonks.

Theres no rule against people modifying what they have spent their hard earned cash on, the more time and money they spend doing it the better- it makes your classic car worth more, creates work for people that supply the parts and puts money back into the economy! No negatives IMO :)

at the end of the day everyone has their own taste but why would you do that to a mini the amount of work it would involve would be stupid and you could have probaly have bought a lethal set of image splits and with the 15's the ride height and ride would be shocking.

thats my opinion anyway

Spot on!!

I think on a different car they would look absolutely ridiculous but on that car - They look MINT!

Honestly, I think that is one of my favourite modified minis i'v ever seen. Something totally different (not to everyones tastes) but brilliant in its own right
