Fastest I've had a 998 was past the max 90 mph on the speedo, god knows what it was in reality. That was just with a stage one kit and no bonnet, if that makes any difference. I haven't dared take my current MG 1275 over 90mph, more my bravery running out rather than power. Anything above 70 in a mini feels dangerous to me!

165 kmph for me which is just over 100mph, was in Germany. I assumed it was an autobahn, given the speed of every other nutter!

That was a one time sort of thing! as my girlfriend lost the ability to speak, and I got a severe case of Sweaty hand syndrome!

Speedo 90mph, gps 105mph, MK2 golf vr6 behind 115mph. Private road.

Speedo reads rediculously low. 1380, standard diff. Won't go any faster as i run out of revs/gears!
