You could wire it direct to the amp (From the playstation) but it will not have a volume control of any kind.
As for wiring in the TV, All it needs is a +, A -, And a Video feed from the PS2.

Check ebay for cigarette lighter power lead for the slim ps2 as it needs 8.5v.
So if the invertor is the way to go.
This wires direct to the battery (you will get one from Maplin amongst many other places) they tend to have a switch on them so if you leave it on your going to end up with a flat battery.
So I would reccommend wiring it up through a relay connected to the ignition.
When ignition is off then so is the invertor.
Wiring the relay itself is easy
4 wires..
1 earth
1 from the switched live (stereo wire or somthing)
1 from the battery and
1 to the invertor
If you did not have aux input you can still do it using an FM modulator (about £19)
you tune your radio to the preset station and it picks up the ps2 sound signal.
clicky me for the stuff

found this to save you using an inverter.
Just cut the cigarette connector off and add a switch and hard wire it in.
Bob is then your mothers brother.........i think.
Aux input
cheaper fm modulator

Not strictly true, most games have a volume control of their ownYou could wire it direct to the amp (From the playstation) but it will not have a volume control of any kind.

You could just save the hassle of making up leads by buying an FM Modulator. Sure, maybe not a great ultra-permanent route, but they're good none-the-less.
thanks but i would rather hard wire it as reading thru the forums these fm modulators arn't getting much praise.
