Been mentioned before, no ones bothered yet.

And no one will.

There will not be an iPhone application, nor will there be an application for Android. This is because it simply wouldn't improve anything on what a browser already offers you.

There will be a mobile skin for the forum which will come in to play when the board software is upgraded, this will be much more suited to the screen size found on your phone and should remove the need for zooming in all the time.

tapatalk is free, any reason why TMF wont install it? seems strange not to offer something that members want when it doesnt cost the site anything and only takes 2 mins to install

Tapatalk is not compatible with our forum software, compatability is from IPB 3.x onwards, we are using IPB 2.3.5.

Please don't spam your own topic. If you had used the search you'd see this has been asked and discussed before.

I wasn't talking to you, since you aren't the author of this topic.

You should read posts before you assume everything in them is about you.

You dont need to pay to keep an app in the appstore. Apple developers have to pay a nominal one off fee for the license to produce applications, they can then submit as many as they like to the app store.

As for Tapatalk (which I am also waiting for) as Deathrow said it isnt supported by I.P 2.3.5 so will have to wait for an upgrade (probably wont be long before usability and accesibility laws kick in and make it a requirement imho.)

In the mean time, you can download a free RSS reader and plug in the feed addresses on your iPhone - this will give you a nice easy way to keep updated on new posts (and usually allows you to link through the posts so that you can reply) Its not the best solution, but for quick updates etc its a good way to scan the forum without having to launch the browser.

The new board software will do it automatically. It shouldn't be too long before we're making the swap over :techsupport:.

Sit tight guys!

If there's not going to be an app for iPhone, why does it say "get the free ip.board app for iPhone now" at the bottom of the mobile page? Then nothing works

That has nothing to do with TMF. It's a product provided by Invision Power.

Cheeky of them to place a link in the skin like that though.

Just wondering, how do you view the mobile page? The first time I entered the site I ignored the option to view in mobile view and have been regretting it ever since!
Is there a link or anything I can follow?
