I've got of pair of stainless door sills and can anyone help me with ideas on the best way to fit them to my mini please.

Glue, tthere is one called Stickofex (sp?) used in bodyshops

Yea , Sikoflex or Tiger bond is good .

Ive allways wanted to spot weld perhaps this would be a good opertunity for you to start. justa thaught but if you practice on some old bits of junk out in the shed you might be able to get good enough to run a partial seem along the inside. would be more trouble than no more nails tho.

might be worth sealing the edges up with a bit of mastic, you dont want water sitting under the stainless bits rusting your door steps away, you could end up with big holes in a fairly important bit of the car, and you'd never know!

I will try to get a photo for you to see how shiney and lovely my door sills look.
But i'm not so good with getting photos posted on tmf.

I had set of them once, stuck em on with double sided tape, but after i washed it a few times it just lifted the tape and the sills came off, for the best tho as there was alot of water trapped underneath it, and the steel on the sills was starting to rust!! so didn't put them back on in the end,
