is it possible to convert auto transmission to manual? as i mite be buying a mini with a feckered auto box but the engine is fine, not that it will stay in its standard state too long. cheers nick

Tiz easy as hell!! But you gotta change the engine and box tho :)

All you need to do is a straight swap for a manual engine and box (there is a difference and it aint inter-changeable), then you gotta put a new pedal box in for the clutch pedal, and also fit a clutch master cylinder...

I done it a couple of times, like i said, easy as pie!!!

Just remember the subframes are different sizes. If you use the auto subframe you will need spacers. These are available from MINISPORT for £25+P+P for a kit including bolts and new engine mounts.
