Hi could someone please identify these engines for me as I don't want to go to all the trouble of this conversion only to find out i've gone and put an engine in with only about 60 bhp.

The bottom engine is the MPI engine, not sure of the bhp in 1.4 guise, but around 100 bhp in 1.6 guise.

I 'd say that's the most powerful 1.4 of those 3.
