I apologise if i may have inadvertantly misled you re the Honda engines! i was speaking generally and not specifically for your quad. Basically what i meant was that you will find most chinese or eastern import quads are copies of most popular brands, so replacing parts can be quite easy.


Find out what make the engine is and then search ebay for something that looks similar, then you will know what to look out for regarding spares.

If it is a no sparker, its quite likely to be the coil or ignitor. these are also pretty generic parts so finding replacements should be a doddle. I may even still have some in stock at my lockup.

I hope i have made this a bit clearer and not confused you.

Had a quick look at the quads engine today. before even looking at the no spark part it needed some new fuel lines to redone all that today, so that abits done.

Im about to google it, but are they 6v or 12v batterys? it had nothing on the quad, but im guessing 6v. Most the conectors are rusted on the loom so they will need redoing. I like a challange. Be much better once ive worked out what every is on there. Seems alot of conections for a basic quad. unless its got the wiring for inders and lights? time till tell.

What does Sancyo Mean? cant seem to find anything on the net about this word which is on the side of the engine.

Not an awful lot. From what I understand it is the alternate brand name.
