looks like you were right rich
ive just done a compression test and i got the above results :S
1 and 4 are OK with 160, but 2 and 3 both struggled to make 50 :S
so it looks like its the gasket between 2 and 3 then, would this cause it to blow back out thru the carb?
i guess ive got to change the head gasket now :S
would it be an idea to regrind in teh valves while the head is off?
ive never done it before (valves) soi dont have a clue how it
arse!!!!
are u still free on sunday at all rich? incase i get stuck :S
stupid engine!!!!

I'll be in all day mate, bring all your stuff over too.
Did you get a head gasket set, or jus the head gasket??
If the valves need doin, then we can do em, but there is no point doin em if they are ok.

good look with grinding valves they take ages! well they do with a hand stick, iv found it easier to modify 1 into a drill!

Grind valves in by hand It does not take long and using a drill will wear the valve guides.

it shouldnt wear them, they are hardened. the drill goes at the same speed as ur hands, it just doesnt hurt as much
