if i was you i'd sell the british open and buy another one to paint red and add the arches - i think it would be better to leave a limited ed like the open as standard as possilbe and get something else to mod, but that's just me...
BOC's (British Open Classics) and "special edition" minis are really that special. There was a different special edition mini launched everytime a leaf fell from a tree anywhere in the world! There are loads of them. This means that the so called special editions, really arent very special. Also, there are a fair few BOC's still around. So I wouldnt personally be too afraid of potentially devaluing the BOC. If anything, they only demand a little extra money because of the electric full length roof (which is actually a one off sized webasto roof, no other webasto roof will fit the gap unless its from another BOC) And at the end of the day, it will still have the electric roof when you paint it red so If I was you i wouldnt let the devaluing comment put you off.
As for the grille, I'm not a fan of mk1 grilles with spotlights. So if your keeping the spot lights you have, dont bother getting the grille. If you are taking the spot lights off then I think a mk1 grille would look nice on your motor.Look this british open with mkI grille!!
I think some people may be finding it difficult to understand your posts (and I am presuming this) because English isnt your first language? there may be a little something getting lost in translation
Thanks you very much, your answer has been a great help
No problem. If you look at my profile page (click my name and then click on profile) and then scroll down through the minis you will see I used to own a BOC many years ago! Was a great mini. It had a brilliant engine. Bog standard but pulled better than any other standard 1275 ive had.
