late mini's unleaded?

That last topic got me thinking. I've just laid my hands on a 1275 out of a '92 car. Is it able to run unleaded? I see no cat (that would be a giveaway, but it has a playmini exhaust!)

If it's the original engine from the car then yes it's unleaded.

That is a good point. I'm not sure. I hope I can tell from the V5c when it comes.

Is there a way of telling externally from the head? (engine number etc...) or even internally (i'm gonna take the head off to decoke it and check things out in there anyhow, but It's really a "temporary" engine until I've built the real one!)

Us e Guessworks A series engine numbers guide in the FAQ section.

Then you should be able to work out from the engine number what age and year etc it is.

i know im stealing this but anyone know if a 89 mini should be unleaded? it a city
