Hi everyone, I've been on the forum for almost a year but I think it's time I introduced myself and my mini haha. My name is Cat and I live in Okehampton in Devon, I'm 21 and just about to finish my 3rd and final year at Uni.

I've had Midge for about a year now, sadly she's been off the road for about 8 months, although I'm really hoping to devote time and money on her this summer so she can be back on the road

Midge is a 1989 Rover City, worked out that we both came into the world at roughly the same time although she has not aged as well as me

If anyone lives near me then please give me a shout as none of my friends are into minis and it would be great to meet some local enthusiasts! I'm also looking to join a club this summer, any suggestions- I'm thinking East Devon mini club?

I would put a picture up of Midge but the only photo's of her are rubbish, plus I haven't posted stuff with photo's in yet...anyway, comments/greetings are very welcome!

Took my mini for a drive up not too far from you around the moors! Not done it before which is criminal, being from plymouth and that but what a drive. Especially in the sun we've just had so i'll be doing that more often

Well, she could really do with a colour update I feel (when funds allow, red or a pastel blue, not too sure on colour names...) plus a new interior- currently horrible grey and very uncomfortable, plus I wouldn't mind a nice dash and a working radio but I'm getting ahead of myself, firstly got to get her going again!

Ooh! Taking a mini on Dartmoor is amazing- especially in the sun what sort of mini do you have, I'll keep an eye out haha

lol nice i just decided i need to sell my project and get a drivable one to get me on the road and on my way to a new job... should have it by the 4th ...

Its a bright red mini city e. Its looking a little brown and muddy at the moment though so cleaning that is my next job know what its like keaping a mini going on low funds while at uni. Can be a nightmare at times but well worth it!

Hi Alex, thank you! She has a broken starter motor and her gear box needs stripping down as first gear doesn't work I haven't ever tackled anything on a car before so any advice is really appreciated- how difficult would that be for a novice to do (my brother is great with cars but hasn't got the time at the moment)?
