[Teapot]

Old Teapot was dozing at a classic vehicle meet today when the showground activity was drowned by a thunderous roar and this appeared ...



This is what it is (I'd never heard of it )



It has a V8 220hp Hispano-Suiza aero engine which with the "right cogs" will propel the beast to 140mph -- at just 2000 rpm.



Originally it had a 4-cyl 90 hp engine of, er, 11.25 litres

even if it does go to anything near 105mph or 140mph i dont think id like to be in it. although im sure it'd be soooo coool!!

Amazing bit of old school kit. Wouldnt like to do 140mph in it with 100 year old drum brakes though! It doesnt even look like it has any brakes at all on the front!

What a beastie, i've heard of these before but as of yet to see one or hear one in the flesh. It looks like a right handful to drive and could not imagine how scary it would be to have lapped somewhere like Brooklands in one of these at 100mph plus

I'm awake again now and have done a bit of ferreting about via Google. This website is worth a look. The owner, Dr. George Cohen, MBBS, MSc, MRCPsych, BA Eng, says of the Brasier, "I bought it because it will be an ideal car for the school runs, trips to Tesco and maybe some more prestigious motoring events. it would need a MOT test but there wouldn't be much testable
