Why? it has steering, suspension, lights, brakes? the same as any other carit would need a MOT test but there wouldn't be much testable

Weren't these things all the rage after the First World War as rich, bored people baught up ex-Military motors like this and stuck them in cars 'for a laugh'?
I was asked to navigate for a friend of a friend a few years ago in his 1920's car. I thought it would be boring and slow but said yes. The car could lift its front end off the floor under accelaration, and four-wheel drifts round roundabouts on skinny tyres were hilarious! Who ever mentioned brakes - that was the scary part!

What is fitted still has to work as it was originally intended, to or to a safe standard. Emissions is still a visual inspectionbut no seat belts, emissions test, indicators, fog light, brakes wouldn't be up to modern standards or wheel bearings etc

Two of them both with chain drive but had outboard rockers lol
Every few laps they would pull into the pits and someone would paint a load of grease over them and off they went again
Brilliant cars and actually won in there class.
The garage next door had Jaguars in and they couldn't even finish the race
