CLASSIC MINI WITH 1275 MG METRO ENGINE

IT STARTED LIFE AS A 1985 MINI MAYFAIR.

ONE OF THE PREVIOUS OWNERS HAD DECIDED TO MODIFY THE CAR TO HIS OWN SPEC.

IT RECEIVED A PURPLE SPRAY JOB, 1275cc MG METRO ENGINE,

MG METRO RUNNING GEAR WITH 4 POT METRO CALIPERS AND AEROQUIP HOSES ALL ROUND.

A 3 CLOCK FULL WIDTH DASH, QUICK SHIFT GEAR LEAVER AND MOUNTNEY STEERING WHEEL.

THE LOG BOOK STATES THAT THE CAR HAS DONE 16,000 MILES

BUT I SUSPECT THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER WHO CHANGED THE ENGINE ALSO FITTED THE NEW DASH AT THE SAME TIME. HENCE THE LOW MILAGE.

NEEDLES TO SAY: THAT THE ENGINE STARTS FIRST TIME EVERY TIME AND RUNS VERY SMOOTHLY, ALSO BEING A 1275 IT MAKES THIS CAR VERY NIPPY INDEED.

THE CAR ALSO HAS:
- SPAX ADJUSTABLE DAMPERS
- NEW CV JOINTS,BALL JOINTS, TRACKROD ENDS, WHEEL BEARINGS,DIFF SEALS
- HI-LO ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION AND POLYBUSHED ALL ROUND.
- MK2 REAR LAMPS, WIPAC REVERSE LIGHT
- 13" MINILIGHT ALLOYS. 2 NEW TYRES

THE CAR ALSO HAS BRAND NEW: DOOR, BOOT AND REAR QUARTER WINDOW SEALS.

BRAND NEW STAILESS STEEL BUMPERS, GRILL AND CHROME DOOR MIRRORS.

BRAND NEW FRONT SEAT BELTS AND CARPET .

AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS, THIS MINI HAS HAD A BRAND NEW INTERIOR.

THE SEATS AND DOOR CARDS HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONALLY REFURBISHED BY:
SPIRIT OF THE 50`s OF SUTTON COLDFIELD.

CAR HAS HAD A RESPRAY IN MILANO RED WITH A CLEAR COAT FINISH.
FINISHED WITH MINI COOPER LAURALS, PIN STRIPES AND JOHN COOPER SIGNATURE BONNET LOGO`S.

ALPINE CD/RADIO/MP3 AND 2X 330w PIONEER SPEAKERS

- REPLACED GEARBOX SELECTOR OIL SEALS / DRIVESHAFT SEALS
- CV JOINTS REPLACED
- FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS REPLACED
- TRACK ROD ENDS
- FITTED 4 SPOT LIGHTS
- UPGRADED ENGINE STABILIZER
- RC40 EXHAUST (LCB)
- DRIVESHAFT GATORS REPLACED

I would expect it to fetch arround £1800 on flebay. It may be just me, but it looks strange to have sportpack arches without side repeaters.

I agree, £1800 - £2000 on a good day some one would snap it up doesnt need any work and looks good!

What type of sills are fitted ? Oversills or proper open ones. Looks nice where abouts are you?
