I wasn't suggesting that a 16v KAD head won't fit on a 998, just the fact that in nat asp form it will NOT have 200bhp.
Possible with a turbo, sure with enough wonga.

slap on a turbo, fill your petrol tank with ethanol, and pull off the regulator to the turbo....
might last about 30 seconds, but should put out some silly power!
and yes, I am just being silly, and I dont reccomend anyone does this!................without a camcorder!

Before I bought my current car, it had a 110bhp Arden 970S motor. It reved to 11000rpm and apparently the crank wasnt heavilly modded. It wasnt bored out either. I couldnt imagine a sub 1000cc A series getting over 150-60bhp.

Hi Just spotted this post.
Well as you have seen my self and others are are around that fig.
When people say about limits lol, until someone has done every thing there is to do to the "a" engine, only then will we no it's limits, but there is always new tweeks and stuff coming out that make doing just the almost impossible. 250 isn't a limit either. only on the life of it
for me it's all about having the car to drive to shows in and around town and that can do miles in with out any probs also seeing what i can get out of the engine safely, as i don't have much money. And saying over 200 bhp to people is great, even when they don't believe you, but going this route doesn't make you the fastest car out there.
So in the end you have to think if you want to have a fast car , IE 0-60s or drag racing or a car with 200 + bhp?

I was watching some of the Trax videos on you site earlier MW. Do you have launch control on yours or do you rely on the good old right foot?

Ay up Matt!
Wondered when you'd find this!
I like your 'limits' attitude! Good analogy!

Hi, yes i did have a sort of launch control , but i've never got on with it, i found it held the engine back ok, but as soon as i lifted the clutch the wheels spun badly, so it's some thing i don't use now, just the good old right foot.
Cheers Dave

Talking about limits, if I had lots of spear money I would be driving around in a 300 bhp 1300cc mini a series. And I don't say this just off the top of me head, from what I have seen it is possible, just holly expensive to hold together.! And even that I'm sure isn't the limit.
