I think it was originally an Austin Mini-Countryman and a Morris Mini-Traveller, or the other way round. They were eventually available with or without wood.
The original Minis were either 'Austin Se7en' or 'Morris Mini-Minor'.

As above
Travellers were Morris and Countrymans were Austin.
Both were avaliable with or without wood.
The only differances between the Austin and Morris cars were the badges and grilles.
All estates were built with dry suspension, never with hydrolastic.
Also, I think they were all trimmed as per the equivalent Delux of the time.
And Mk2 Contrymans and Travellers were all 998cc.

This is the badging on my '68 Traveller

In theory there is no difference  wood is just an add on

unlike the moggie traveller the mini travellers wood work is not structural on the car :)

Not really..... There were MkII Countryman and Travellers. (Wood)
The speedo was also different for MkI Morris and Austin, as well as badging and grilles.

I just noticed how old this post is...lol.... I was looking for something else.  I do have a 62 Morris however :)
