They are highly modified!

If you look at the pictures (assuming it is the same seller) there is usually overspray on the pallet or whatever it's been sat on.

I guarantee they are just pulled straight out of a scrapper and painted and nothing else!

im after 1293cc, powermax pistons, good head, 266 cam, lightened balanced bottom end, duplex timing kit, stage one kit, hif44, central oil pick up, rebuilt box, 3.1diff. i remeber GW saying its better to buy as much as possible with a kit as it could mean a strip down if you want to change something in the future. basically i want nice long range power which i can beat the hell out of little chavs in. plus still be reliable, mostly for a few days a week. any pointers are very welcome as i wouldnt mind options.

Try one of Morspeeds Trackday kits as a good example... the 21253 cooper pistons give a good compression ratio and something like an MG metro head on the top gives good breathing for the pennies... It also gives you a bucket load of scope for improvement, from a hotter cams, higher stage heads and also an eventual CC upgrade to 1330/1380

I think this is what Mini84 has

cheers for that, ill keep it in mind, was even thinking of building it with help from the forum ie, buying a head from bluemini and box from yourself, parts from minidaves and anyone else who could help. think it could go quite well. wont be for a while though as i have a few rust issues (already posted)

I was trying not to infer you go to morspeed, but the bits list is a good starting point if you see what I mean..

I must admit, my 1330's not a million miles from that, probably a little more pepped up, but the spec is a good benchmark to work from..

must admit I think the ARP bolts are a little over kill at that point, but could be a future upgrade, along with other performance items..

Thats what Minis 84 has, strapped to a SC CR gear box! Iv also got the 1330 kit with phase 2 cam and modified head and its really nice, has a good bit of torque and keeps up with the likes of saxo vtr's with no probs
