I am also looking for cheap car insurance. Have compared quotes online but have not quite found what I am looking.

You're probably better talking to someone rather than using comparison sites.

Mines about £400 with lots of mods declared (29 with 7 years NCB).  Probably high due to the shitty postcode.

I hope being 30 and married next year helps things.

Avoid, Adrian Flux.

We get you don't like Adrian Flux. You don't have to pipe up on every single insurance thread.

Adrian Flux have been fine in my experience.

I've rang every car insurer you can nae and the cheapest quote for my 1275cc metro is £2400

Car insurance is an absolute joke.

One woman said if you own the car for 2+ years (so I would have been 15 when I bought it) It counts as 2 years of driving experience. Utter *******

What do people think of that 'drive like a girl' insurance?

From what i heard, they monitor your driving habits and reduce the premium according to how well you drive

Would rather they didn't know what I was doing and where I was going. For first year of driving, probably not a bad idea.

I change my insurance provider each year as you get better quotes from starting policies these days than on renewal or 'loyal customer' bonuses. This, however, can be different if your car is modified heavily as I found with my old Evo's.

I've just insured with a black box which I loathe but not been fitted yet. No speeding means sticking to all derbyshires stupidly set speed limits.

Do those black boxes even work in a mini? I can image it would say i was driving bad constantly due to the lack of suspension and the state of the roads in leeds.
