I believe Burlen Fuel Systems have the rights to the SU carbs.

well how random. its a set of HIF4;s from a 1979 austin allegro 1500.
does anyone know much about these as they are front and rear, not left and right as i had expected lol.
any good on a 1380 u reckon?
seem to be on a new manifold which fits the mini perfectly and is complete with all linkages.
?????? help ???????

If they are front rear then they are not of an allegro, as it's a transverse engine,
Front rears are off horizontal (rwd) cars... more likely off an MG
do you have the tag numbers ?
*edit - I Take that back...they do have one configuration which is F/R... FZX1302F/R but if it's the original manifold then double check it will fit, as it's not an A series engine

nice pair of carbs, and being HIF4's or basically the same as HIF38's should be realy nice on a big bore..
I've got a pair of HIF6's (of a rover v8) which will be saying hello to the 1330 when the heads been attacked... oops I mean ported some more.. stage 4 here we come

Got this funny deja-vu feeling... as I have something very similar sat on the workbench, but with a pair of HS6's about to be attached..
If you could take a couple or three pictures of the linkages, it may save me a bit of hassle fabricating some... Cheers.

SU's are always listed as front/rear rather than left/right, it's because they've been building SU's since before there were transverse engines. There's a bit in the front of their manual about how to identify carbs as left/right.
