Been reading the big yellow bible espescially the bit about carbs.

Has anyone ever used, had or seen a reece fish carb on a mini?

Just interested thats all.

they look weird but seem to be quite good by all accounts.

The book has talked me into modding the HIF 44 i have sat in the shed though.

I know this is a really old topic but I was just searching google for reece fich carbs and this thread popped up. I have a reece fish carb but at the min the inlet manifold dont seem to fit trying to source one now. And here are some pics if they work:

the rumors and legends mumble about "nice drive"... kinda looks like a Webber met an SU in a back alley and this was the result. :w00t:

I would love to find out if they are right about it being a nice drive. But i cant get the blasted thing to fit. :w00t: The only reason I knew about them was because when my dad had a cooper in the 60's he had one and said it made it fun! :)

All found HERE

If you look at the side shot, looks like they're using an electronic ignition kit...lack of vacuum pipe on these carbs?

there was one posted up on the ebay section a while back i think, i believe retro tens may ahve made a comment??

infinite adjustment is the carbs strong point i think, ive heard that all you need to tune the carb is a screwdriver and a ball point pen. no needle replacement or jets, just adjust until happy.

But due to the fact that they are rare as rocking horse something it is diffcult to find an engine tuner who has heard of tem let alone tune them to work properly with the engine. :w00t:
