Reece fish was an exotic carb in the late 60's. It prooved to be very thirsty, however it did give a performance improvement. 70`s gave us petrol shortages- which prob made them less desirable.

I've got one of these stashed away somewhere and would love to know how you get on. They were notoriously difficult to tune. Clive Trickey was a user on his race car. His book 'Tuning the Classic Mini' has a good description on pages 75-79 describing his own developed method of getting the best out of the carb. The book is dated in it's approach but cutting edge in it's day, and a good read. It's on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tuning-Classic-Mini-MRP-speedsport/dp/0947981616/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474379776&sr=8-1&keywords=tuning+the+classic+Mini+++Clive+Trickey Ignore the review, it misses the point.
