Ref the last comp: Not to throw sour grapes or anything, just interested how animammel got the carbon fiber texture on the bonnet of the Mazda without using any outside image sources.

I'll show you. As I'm attempting it this time. It is possible. Tutorials are out there.

You make a small pattern by using the gradient tool black to white. Very small scale and you can save that as carbon for whenever you want cf. then you can paste the layer then manipulate it and it looks like cf. check out a few tuts. all there. you'll understand when you see it

Thought I'd have a pop at it this week, been away for a while, work has been nuts......

like the new rule idea, but thought maybe an allowance for different wheels might be an idea?
