im thinking of running two 6.5 kicker subs has any one used kicker before and are they any good?
also what amp will i need to run the two subs, 2 6in speacker and maybe 2 four inches?
i presume you mean this sub:

If you wire the two together so that you are putting a 2ohm load on the amp then you want an amp that can do at least 150w RMS at 2 ohms.
If you want to amp the subs, a pair of 6s and a pair of 4s then you should probably get a monoblock amp for the subs and 4 channel amp for the speakers.

would this amp work then if i put the subs in paralell http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item518f08936c
That amp looks like a great choice for a starter system, but ignore the max power figures.
The RMS power is 4 x 100 Watts + 1 x 200 Watts RMS @ 4Ohms which is loads for a simple system.
its sub channel can run at 2 ohms so if you buy the 4ohm version of the sub and run them Parallel this will work perfectly.
As they are in Parallel they will be in phase with each other so they can share and enclosure.

Also do you mean 2 sets of 4" or 1 pair?
I would use the other 4 channels to run an active front 2way setup.
That amp should do it all for you

a pairs of 4in and a pair of 6in i think but as the subs are like a mid bass what would the sound be like if i have a pair of 6.5 mid bass subs and a pair of speakers instead of 2 pair of speakers?
Sorry you have lost me. LOL
What are you planing to put where?

2 6.5 subs and 2 6 componet speakers in a kick board under rear seats and 2 4" speakers in pods mounted up the front
As Ross said you cannot put speakers that are producing different frequencies on the same enclosure.
The Sub will push the full range around and possible damage them quite quickly.
And to be honest I don’t know why anyone would want music being fired in to their bum?!

2 x 6.5" subs in rear kick board
Pair of good 13cm components in pods under the dash rail
And place the tweeters on the dash rail
Not be more beneficial than shoving all the music behind you, when really, you want the sound in front of you...

Would something like;
2 x 6.5" subs in rear kick board
Pair of good 13cm components in pods under the dash rail
And place the tweeters on the dash rail
Not be more beneficial than shoving all the music behind you, when really, you want the sound in front of you...
Even good set of 4" or 5" mounted in the air vent holes/location would be better.

Usually... when you buy a pair of components - Their will be a passive crossover with them. You plug the crossover into the amp through one channel, Then the crossover sends out one line for the tweeter and one for the midhow do the tweeter work do they coonect to the amp via one of the channel connections. because if they dont i will be able to get a 4 channel amp which will be cheaper.
