im going to be putting an order in tomorrow for the box section i will be using to fabricate my engine cradle from to mount it to the front subframe. but was wondering what type of box section i will be best using. 2"x2", 1"x2" etc etc, i think thickness wise ill use 3mm.

3mm I assume you're meaning wall thickness. That's a bit OTT and will add one hell of a lot of weight - generally spaceframe stuff uses 1.6mm wall tube.

25x25mm box and 25x50mm box is what I've used for my spaceframe - what you'll need will depend on your design.
