Bump

I've driven bikes that had over 50,000 miles that never had any adjustment done to their carbs in their lives and I would think that bike carbs would be better for higher rpms

The issue is getting carbs of the correct size, most bike carbs are small, hence why the r1's command so much money.

I have just got my hands on a hsr45 but the. It's for a supercharged engine.
It will be fitted in 2 weeks so we will see what it's like!

A single Amal 930 will fuel 650cc and 50BHP with no trouble

I'm not... My point was there isnt much above 38mm,that has the correct float bowl orientation. But then I need a single which needs to flow more that 200cfm. That it about 43-45mm without a butterfly... Still I have found one now that hopefully will sort it out. Will see next weekend when it's on the rollers!

Your looking at the wrong type of bike carbs then, try carbs from more modern bikes. Any of the last round of superbikes that had carbs should do. GSXR1100, GSXR750 Slingshot CBR1100Blackbird, CBR900Fireblade, ZXR900 etc. Even most of the sports 600's use at least 36mm carbs which will easily fuel a 1380 mini.

I dont need a new one, ive just got a HSR45. However that's not doing it cheap. Most people will want a used set I guess.
