As far as cooling is concerned im just going for an Alloy rad to start off with and see how it runs (side mount) KAD said id be ok. For road i think most people keep the original fan and also have a electric fan aswell to switch on and off when needed, its hard when doing one of these conversions as theres not many people on the net whove done one and got one running. I think youd get away with a side mount Rad for sprinting too, depending on how long the track is and how long you blasting it for, but most people ive seen tend to use a front mount.
Post some pictures up on here when your engines back will love to see it. Have you gone All steel bottom end and the big valve head?
