Is this a road car? I was under the impression you weren't allowed removable steering wheels on the road?

Lovely build by the way. Keep the pics coming and well done on the feature.

Yeah its fully road legal and MOTed, loads of caterhams and kit cars etc have removable wheels nowadays too.

Im finding the 3.2 diff to be a bit long, so a 3.4 could be on the cards but i suppose its all about trail and error.

Right bad news,

Think the 2nd gear synchro has gone. It crunches going into gear. Im sure this has been caused when the clutch was dragging a bit on the trackday. I checked all the synchros before i built the box up and they looked fine.

Engine will be coming back out soon.

Nightmare.

Dog box anyone?

Right not much to update with this other than ive brought the gearbox bits. Some indestructible baulk rings and all the tab washers etc Hopefully going to get the engine back in before christmas but there wont be any rush. Going to put the 3.6 diff in and see how it goes.

Looking at a few more bits of carbon and an Radtec radiator for next year.

No your not allowed to put a removable steering boss through an SVA/IVA but lots of cars have them not just racing one either.

Yeh, they are. You will have to notch the bonnet gutter slightly, otherwise it will rub and make a hole in a nice shine rad.
