But i'd say try your luck with some head work first and then maybe the 1.5's will open up that little bit more power if you're not happy after that.

Cool, I'll pester Green & White Mini's for some head work quotes
Cheers.
Also take along your inlet and exhaust manifolds, so they can match them up to the head ports
That on its own can be worth 5hp and only cost time,
Imo 1.5 rockers have a 'feel good factor ' and do very little to increase power
Change the cam to a 266, and tune on a rolling road with someone who understands mini.

So would 1.5 roller rockers make much difference to a 1275 that's already got a 266 cam and a stage 1 kit or would head work be the better route to go down for a bit extra power?
changing the cam to another 266 is a waist of time and money

And yes Bungle has a good point above. Real waste of time and money

Hi
My comments where made on the original post, in which Aidan wrote, "What else off I'm not too sure."
Without any history on the engine, the only thing I know is that Aidan is on the more power route,
I suggested fitting g a new 266 which is a good start to improve power at low cost,
At least then he will have a chance to check over the bottom end, in readiness for the next up grade.
But maybe I have missed something, or read into the op from the wrong direction, feel free to put me right if I have,
John

Errr....998....Oops sorry....Mine is a 1380 with all the toys....So yes fitting 1.5 roller tip rockers made a big difference to mine.Andyminimad: Did you try 1.3.1 roller rockers on your 998
And yes Bungle has a good point above. Real waste of time and money
