I have had it to my local classic mini garage 'green & whites' He says he can see daylight where there shouldnt be. Goes in next wed and he his stripping it and welding it up for me

Didnt want to risk it due to all the fammable gasses and materials in the area. he said it will be a pain in the arse to do but will give it his best shot

Another local, i'm in middlesbrough hopefully see you about.. (sorry to be off topic)

I know it's been a good few years or so but I have the same problem. If I pull the pedal towards me it feels like I could pull the bracket away from the bulkhead.

Did you cut out and plate? If so are the studs attached to the bulkhead or do they bolt through from the outside?

P.s I'm new to all this, bought my first mini this week

M machine do repair panels for this area, but they are easy enough to make up yourself as well

It kinda depends on what is actually gone.

There are a pair of weld studs that go through from the engine bay. Then there is the actual pedal bracket and the bulkhead.

Some are easier to fix than others.

It's the bulkhead thats gone, behind the bracket/plate. If I pull on the pedal the plate, nuts and studs all pull away from the bulkhead slightly
