ok so it seems i need shorter, or lowering shocks for the rear. can anyone recomend any to me i have run it for a few days and its not dropped down at all. cheers

Gaz shocks are probably most popular closely followed by spax. Buy either and i'm sure you'll be happy.

are we talking adjustable ride height types or are there shortened ones available as in shortend like the ones on my race car?

Cones can take up to 3 months to settle, driving the car or loading it up don't help. It needs time and a few days is not enough. Also it's meant to be higher at the back, it's part of the suspension design.
