Just wondering what would be the best and easiest method to get that 60bhp closer to 90 or even 100?
Ive had a chat to the mini techinical god (Guessworks) but im open to other opinions...
I will have about £1000 to spend on the engine, and i have limited spanner skills

Have I been demoted :erm:Ive had a chat to the mini techinical god (Guessworks)
100bhp from a 1330 is going to cost a fair bit, you should see 85 with a decent cam, head, rockers and induction/exhaust system.
Are you looking for 100 at the wheels or crank?

Well i know a Saxo VTR is 98 bhp (dunno wether that would be at wheels or fly) and im looking for the same performance as one of them. With a topend of around 110 too.

I reckon a mini with around 80-90 BHP would kick a VTR into touch (though I am not so sure of the VTR's weight).ah ok...oh sorry Bluemini lol

Sooo, I'd agree with above really, it does sound a little low at 60 BHP, I know GW has a 1330 and he can whip most of the chavs with that bad boy!
As Bluemini has said, a nice cylinder head and camshaft with a decent carb (maybe a HIF44) and a decent exhaust set up should just about achieve that.
For a 1K budget, I would look at getting what you have correctly set up, it may give surprising results as it may be a little out of tune.

Minimail - kilcot, to be honest thats the only place u need to go, its one of the best around here. If he hasn't got it in stock, he will get it for you.
With Bert and the M+M centre... he is a bodger simple as, to stop a engine that hes replaced, rather than strip it down, before he fitted it, he just puts stop smoke into it.... etc etc
