Noticed that the mrs mini is missing the brethare pipes from the block upto the carb, (they just vent to atmosphere). Do we think these are a needed or not??

you can only vent to atmosphere if fitted with the K&N type filters
or else dirt will go into the engine as it cools down :smartass:
has the carb been blocked off where the vent pipe should go ?

if the carb is blocked up then no, but it is usefull as without one i discoverd that the fumes from the block got into the car instead of being reused!

It doesnt look like the carb has been blocked off mate, and there is no K&N filter fitted.
And yes dan, i am getting fumes coming into the car too!
Where could a get a replacement hose?

its just a rubber hose any motor factors shouls stock :wink:

But doesnt the bore reduce quiet a lot at one end, and would I need a tee peice to join the two breathers from each side of the block?

yeah like that in the picture or just get 2 k and n mini filters

maybe the K&N's wil be easiest option!
