i must be quite odd then, i dont care about the sound i will run the best exhaust for performance and then if it sounds good it is a bonus but if it doesn't i don't mind because it is as quick as it can be

But the difference in bhp between these two is like 1.5 or 2bhp. Im already geting 112bhp out of it anyway so to be honnest 110bhp is still enough..Plus now it sounds like its got some power.....

well you see thats the difference, i don't care how fast my car sounds, i just want the maximum i can get out of it, so for me i would be taking the extra 2 bhp any day

I dont think your odd at all... I understand that you like to have the best you can get from your car and do not wish to compromise...thats your choice, This was mine.

My 'S' has to pass the noise test at rally scrutineering, so I use the twin-box RC40 system at 1.75" bore and it meets the requirements. My Innocenti Cooper 1300 has the same system as it's so good in all respects.

This system was on the 1380 rally clubman for a while when the level for noise was above 100db...But then they changed the rules and brought the level down to less than 100db, I seem to remember 96 or 98db for some reason. So what we did was drill 4 small holes in the tail pipe, then we stuffed a load of steel wool up the end and slotted a couple of long split pins through the holes. Went to scruteneering.....As soon as we left it was out with the pins and a quick blast to the first stage. We could see the hot orange bits of wire wool being blown out the back as we went along. But it made more power than the quiet exhaust.

Ahhhhh, Im going all nostalgic now....
