Hello

I have a 1995 mini mayfair 1.3i SPi who needs a new rear part of exhaust. At the moment the rear piece is a sport-type with two boxes after the Cat (I think it is an equivalent of RC40 brand) and I want the same or similar to replace it. I've been recommended an RC40 rear piece from Mini Spares but it only has one box instead of two as they haven't got one with 2 boxes to attach to the cat.

So does anyone know what the 2 boxes actually do and will the one from Mini Spares be suitable or do I need the 2 boxes, will it make any difference to the running of the car??

Thanks
Vicky

The current RC40 is a fully modular exhaust system, the part number for a cat front pipe with silencer is RC40-062. Most Minis do perform slightly better running two exhaust silencers and personally I prefer the sound of a twin box too.
