My machine shop only use a hot wash tank, no acid. Acid is BAD. It disolves stuff, like your skin!

Also make sure the environment is clean all dirty objects are completely removed, ie no chance of something being flicked up into your clean engine

A major engine parts manufacturer has concluded that 46% of engine failures are caused by dirt or debris...
