fitting the above for an a series engine tho. and was wondering if i also have to remove the dished part of the bulkhead where the steering colunm fits thourgh, i have removed the steering rack bracket which allows the frame to nearly fit, but the bottom mounts seem to be some way off yet and the frame is touching the front panel.

if i remove these and weld in a flat plate will this work? just want to check before i attack the body with the grinder.
