Possibly looking at a mini with drums all round, how much would it cost to convert the front to disks? I've had a look on mini spares for a kit, but can't see anything!

I don't want anything fancy, just disks, as on a normal later mini.

Thanks

If you just want 8.4" discs then you should be able to make a decent 2nd hand set up with new discs and pads for under £80. Prices will vary depending on the condition of the calipers and wheel bearings though.

If you want to keep 10" rims then add £220 to the cost of the above 2nd hand bits.

It would be something like this, and i would probably put some minilites on it, so not fussed about keeping original wheels!

Contact MiniJosh92 on here, he breaks alot of minis and has brake setups to run 10's if thats what your wanting to do. Failing that, have a look on minispares and/or minisport for there kits. Minisport's site is easier to navigate, but they dont tend to update there website with the parts they have  + theres been a few people that have had bad runnings with them, but check them out aswell. Minispares have a better range of products, but there site isnt that easy to use, to plus side is that Simon from minisapres is ont he forum so if u cant find anything that u need, drop him a pm and he will sort you out.

Do you want to run 10" or 12"/13" wheels.

Your first post says latter discs like normal later Minis but these would be 8.4" and not allow you to run 10" wheels.

My red mini was on drums. I went to my local scrappy and bought the disc set up off it for £30. Then you just need some new pads and discs and hoses then just to clean everything up. Should be able to do it for less then £80 easy. Defiantly a good idea as well to be honest.
