Hmm I am going to have to dig up the pictures of my van door rebuild... but I have been doing some of this hand made panels recently heh.

Had to get some new sheet steel as what I was using was too thick the first go around. so this was actually the second attempt. The template there was drawn off a 60 mk1 with immaculate inner fenders, the copper tube in there was formed against the inside of the old a pillar to get the correct curve for this van. Using the paper template and the copper tube I shaped the 2x6 piece to the shape I wanted and worked the 22ga metal over the form. once it was shaped satisfactorily I had to bend the long bend and was confused at how to do that untill I came up with the idea to sandwich them in the 2x4's to make a rudimentary bender. The rest of the bends was done with standard vice grips or molegrips as they are called on that side of the pond
I will see if I can gather together the pictures I have of that van door and post them later.

I made my own door step as the pattern part ones are really naff

This was formed by welding together three folded sections carefully to minimize distortion
welded in place waiting for the ends to be ground flush.
I also fabricated a complete lower repair section for the rear bulkhead

I have also made numerous other repair panels as i needed them.
