Hi all, am installing a basic system, very basic, head unit and two speakers - thats it! Oh, myabe an amp then! I am using one of MiniSpares wood dash with centre speedo - the one that has two smaller glove box doors either side.

I really want to install the stereo into the one that faces the driver, more so I can get to it easily more than anything, but I guess it will be out of sight for security (does anyone really steal car radios these days?) and also look neater.

On my last mini I had the stereo within the dash in the centre, and before that under the front passenger lower dash rail which you cant really reach without a wireless remote.

Anyone done this before?
