Hi All,

I have a 1994 Sprite Auto so Carb'ed.

A long time ago I set about my mini making lots of mods at the same time. One of these was to changing to a tripple clock to fit in my new wooden dash.
Since I got it it semi sorted, I've never been able to get the fuel gauge working properly... It sits about 40% mark no matter what is in the tank.

I gave it to a local mini specialist to look at but he was unable to get it working..
I was told the sender unit was swapped out at the time to see if it was that..

I then got a hold of another tripple clock incase it was the gauge that was faulty, but this did not help. I tried to check all wiring, even bypassing everything between sender and gauge and still the same..

Has anybody experienced this??!! I know at least one of the tripple clocks was off an older b or c plate mini, the other could have been from an earlier mini aswell..

Someone mentioned voltage regulator, but none of these clocks have a VR on the back of them as suggested by Haynes!!

Is there rules relating to what gauges you can swap with?

Any help again would be appreciated

Steven
