Does anyone think a donor engine from a Mazda RX-8 could be installed in a mini?

I mean, if we can do this with a Honda VTec, then why not with a smaller Wankel engine?

Does anyonoe know of this having been done before? I've searched on Google but haven't found anyone who's claimed to have done this yet...

This could be an interesting conversion, it's lighter and more powerful than a type R engine.

If you DO get an RX8 engine, and convert it to FWD, I'll HAPPILY buy the gearbox off you
